Often a blending of concepts can provide for a unique look in a particular project. We keep an open ear to our clients interests and are happy to include their vision in our work. Conceptual Design
- • Every project has to start somewhere. One often overlooked resource is that of professional conceptual design. By bringing in professional design services early on you can avoid many pitfalls. We can help you evaluate the merits of a project before you commit substantial resources to a project that may not be feasible. Once a viable concept and direction is established we can provide you with preliminary work to further evaluate costs and financing. Our preliminary work can also be used to attract potential investors, tenants, and community support. We can also represent you in your local municipal offices to help in attaining initial approval for projects that require special approval. Preliminary / conceptual services
- If you need to know how your project will fit on a given piece of property when all the various factors like access, parking, landscaping, drainage, etc. are taken into consideration we can help develop a plan for that.
- Exterior Elevations are usually the most important drawings in helping to visualize a project. They can help the client and other interested parties get a feel of the finished project. Elevations are important in establishing an identity suitable for the client and we can provide interior elevations when required as well.
- Floor plans are usually the most important element of conceptual development since they determine more than anything else how a space is used. Conceptual Floor Plans also establish a starting point for developing a fully functional building and help everyone involved to identify and resolve any conflicts. Preliminary plans are relatively easy to modify.
- • Even in the preliminary / conceptual stages comprehensive code review can be invaluable and ultimately save you a substantial amount of money. If Code conflicts are identified early on the concept can usually be adjusted to comply with less expensive options for compliance.
- Sometimes a project needs a presentation model. We can provide you with a model of your proposed project if needed. Scale models can often be critical to illustrating the scale and style of a project.
- If you need assistance in completing documents for your local officials in seeking permission to undertake a project we can help. If you need documents indicated the proposed specifications or scope of work we can help with that as well.
- Researching Zoning, Accessibility, Availability of Utilities, Setbacks, and other site specific conditions is absolutely critical for determining the feasibility of a project as well as for generating a viable design.
- With Preliminary work completed we can draw on both our experience in past projects and the experience of qualified contractors to give you an idea of what to expect as a cost for constructing your project. Preliminary budgets often change as a project progresses due to many factors but initial costing can often help to determine the feasibility of a project.
- We can assist in or provide presentations to Boards of Directors, City Counsels, Building / Planning Officials, Lenders, Contractors, Realtors, Investors, Media Reporters, or anyone else that needs to be informed about your project.
- If you need a place to hold a planning meeting or private presentation we have room in our office to accommodate you. Our conference room can be made available for meetings. We have internet, fax, and printing technologies conveniently located here to help meetings run smoothly and professionally.
